The role of the Budtender is to ensure that our patients/customers are cared for in a way that is consistent with the brand promise. In their role, they will demonstrate a high level of product knowledge with every encounter and show efficacy in our offering of different strains and delivery methods. In addition, they will create an unmatched customer service experience with patient and customers being followed up on long after they’ve purchased and left the retail location. The Budtender should be well versed on the topic of cannabis for healthcare. Subject matter expertise should include strain knowledge, medical effects, a thorough understanding of various delivery systems, industry trends and a rudimentary knowledge of the Endocannabinoid system.

This position requires critical thinking and problem solving with hospitality being at the core of the customer/Budtender interaction. Budtenders need to actively listen to what a patient/customer is saying and then draw on their knowledge of our product base, the science of medicinal cannabis, and general industry knowledge to best advise them. Being able to connect and build relationships with patients/customers is a MUST.

A passion and personal relationship with cannabis are also invaluable when assisting and educating patients. Although not required we prefer that all Budtenders are current medical cannabis patients in the state of Michigan with a strong background in Social Work or related fields. A passion and personal relationship with cannabis are key for this position. 

Inventory Control Specialist

Individuals will reconcile all inventory discrepancies at the retail level and will supply, monitor, and maintain products daily. In addition, they will aid management by providing historical and predictive analysis of product trends. They will also ensure that data is properly entered and maintained in ERP & Metrc to comply with all state regulations. Duties and responsibilities include: 

  • Monitors and maintains inventory ensuring data is entered and accurate in Metrc and company software. 
  • Investigates and resolves discrepancies and notifies the retail manager of irregularities. 
  • Receives, unpacks, and delivers goods; restocking items as necessary; labels shelves and keeps goods organized. 
  • Performs routine clerical work, including but not limited to data entry and assisting other departments. 
  • Prepares shipments containing regulated and non-regulated goods for distribution while ensuring compliance with all State regulations. 
  • Operate Pequipment ie; forklift, pallet jack, etc. 
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. 

Loss Control Specialist

YourEmployment Team is now hiring for a Loss Control Specialist to maintain product integrity and security. Responsibilities include:

  • Protect property from theft, embezzlement, sabotage, trespassing, fire, and accidents
  • Observe and report any unlawful activity
  • Monitoring of surveillance units
  • Protect individuals, property, and proprietary information from harm or misappropriation
  • Control access to premises
  • Investigate and take the appropriate lawful actions on accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activity, safety, and fire

  • Present a professional and welcoming first contact to all clients, visitors and staff (via phone, in person, and e-mail)

  • Prepare outgoing mail, and shipping packages via FedEx, USPS, UPS 
  • Assist with setting appointments and meetings on conference room calendars 
  • Report any pertinent issues that need addressing to the Office Manager 
  • Provide additional support for the Office Manager as well as other teams and duties as needed

  • 1-2 years previous reception experience 
  • High school diploma required; some college preferred 
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgment, common sense, and resourcefulness 
  • Adapts and thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environment 
  • Possesses a high level of critical thinking 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Extremely detail oriented and organized
  • Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information
